The Nigerian Police in Gombe State have (northeast) have confirmed that unidentified gunmen killed two persons and injured another at a beer parlor in Gombe metropolis on Friday night, in a series of terrorists attacks on Christians.

Ahmed Mohammed, the Police Public Relations Officer, said on Saturday that the bodies had been deposited at the State Specialists’ Hospital in Gombe, revealing that there was no arrest yet but investigations were going on.

The owner of the beer parlor, Mrs Evelyn Sunday, said that the gunmen came to the joint, stood at the door and started shooting, thereby killing two people instantly.

Sunday said another person sustained serious injuries.

She further stated that she informed the police who took the bodies and the injured person to the hospital.

At 8 a.m. on Saturday, two motorcycles belonging to the victims were still at the beer parlor, while people were visiting the spot to have a glimpse of the scene.
