Although Venezuela's economy has increased sustantially during the last five years, basically it means absolutely nothing when comes to wealth distribution, beingh the main reason why Venezuelan's are living in much poverty levels that they did two decades ago.

Two decades ago, it was unheard that Venezuela would seek loans from countries as it does now with Japon, Saudi Arabia, and China.
Its long term liabilities has increased by 66% in comparison to the year 2003.

In now days, Venezuelan's migrate, legally or illigaly, something never seen five years ago, being the major causes job scarcity, fear of political persecution and instability. Besides, the Bolivar currency was not devaluated as much as today is, so Chave'z government had to change its curency name due to loss on currency valuation, which is constantly in downturn against the Dollar.
